The Toronto Six put up six in a blowout win over the Connecticut Whale on Sunday earning the 1st overall seed heading into the knockout rounds for the Isobel Cup.

First Period

The first Frame was uneventful has neither team could find the back of the net, the period ended in a 0-0 tie as both teams headed to the dressing rooms.

Second Period

The flood gates opened in the second frame as the Toronto Six would bury two goals to take the lead, first goal scored by Sarah-Eve Coutu Godbout and the second goal tallied by Taylor Woods. The Six would hold the 2-0 lead after 40 minutes.

Third Period

The Toronto Six would leave no doubt in the final frame versus the Whale’s. Toronto added the 3rd goal just over a minute in to the frame as Mackenzie MacNeil buries the biscuit. A few minutes later she would add another and make it a 4-0 game in favour of the Six. Half way through the Frame Taytum Clairmont buries the puck and the Six hold a commanding 5-0 lead over Connecticut. The always dangerous Mikyla Grant-Mentis finds the back of the net for the 6th Toronto Six goal, helping her team take the first overall seed heading into the playoffs.

The Toronto Six have won 4 in a row and now have the first overall seed as they battle for their first ever Isobel Cup. Plenty of firepower and solid goaltending have the Six in the perfect spot in just their first season in the league.
